What in an urban moment? It is a little love story between person and a space. It is the spark. It is an intimate moment. Even if the place is packed with people, what you feel in that place is only yours.
Every space has a potential to be part of this love story. Each one in a different way, different story, as all love stories are. I particularly fall for odd geometries, organically grown spaces that feel like they have such a strong story on their own I can only watch. I enjoy hidden moments, moments of spaces what do not tell their stories often.
The Isle of Man has plenty of these moments to offer. People here love their extensions. What more represents an organic growth? Not to offend anyone but they are pure expression of practicality and just needing more space. It does not matter what they look like, they are after all, in the back alley.
The back alley where the bins are, and small courtyards and small geometries in the strangest form, covered with the tiniest windows. They create a whole new urban landscape for the islands Little People. Little terraces, slides and places to hide.
I fall in love with these moments. I want to capture them as a modern human and I take a picture. I hope to make more graphic series of them one day. There are bins in the back alleys, I will leave them out from the final art I guess, but for my boyfriend it looks like I am walking around town taking pictures of bins.
